Pumpkin Hummus

Pumpkin Hummus 

The following recipe is from the Veggiecation© program which was founded right here in Bergen County!

Tools and Equipment:

  • Measuring Spoons
  • Blender or Food ProcessorPumpkin

    Yield: 5 Servings 

    • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree, canned
    • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
    • 1 cup Garbanzo Beans (Chick Peas)
    • 1/2 cup Water
    • 2 tbsp. Tahini
    • 2 tbsp. Honey
    • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    • In a blender or food processor, add pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add chickpeas and water.
    • Blend until smooth; 
    • Add tahini, honey and oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 


    Great with pita chips/bread.
