Public Health Outreach at Bergen County Department of Health Services comprise primarily of three program areas. These are the Bergen County Cancer Education and Early Detection Program (CEED), the confidential HIV testing program, and the TB/Chest Clinic. Eligibility is dependent on the program. • Cancer Education and Early Detection (CEED)
The Cancer Education and Early Detection program (CEED) provides breast, cervical, colorectal, and prostate cancer screening to medically under-served women and men residing in Bergen County. Clients must meet eligibility criteria, including age, residency and income guidelines, and lack adequate health insurance. • HIV Testing
The Bergen County Department of Health Services offers free and confidential HIV testing to anyone wishing to know their HIV status. Testing is performed at the Housing, Health and Human Services Center located at 120 S. River St. Hackensack, NJ. The center is open daily from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with Saturday and evening hours.
