NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids will be received by the County of Bergen on Friday, March 31st, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. prevailing time in the Purchasing Division, One Bergen County Plaza, 3rd Floor Room 331, Hackensack NJ 07601 at which time and place bids will be opened and read in public for:

Contract # C-17-003 BC Law and Public Safety Generator Replacement

Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms, be enclosed in a sealed package bearing the name and address of the bidder and “BC Law and Public Safety Generator Replacement, Contract # C-17-003” on the outside, addressed to the address above.

The County of Bergen requests that you submit all pages of the response on a CD in addition to the original and 2 (two) printed copies.  If a spreadsheet is requested it can be included on the same CD in a separate file in excel format.

Specifications and drawings (if applicable) may be inspected or obtained on a CD at the Purchasing Office or on the County’s website www.BergenBids.com , on or after DATE at no cost, please note vendors will be limited to one set of specifications per request.  A Pre-Bid conference will be held on DATE, at LOCATION.  Attendance by all prospective bidders and their sub-contracts, and suppliers is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged. 

Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Bergen County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of the successful bidders contract.

All Bid Addenda will be issued on the website as well as in accordance with 40A:11-23c. 2) . Therefore, all interested respondents should check the website from now through bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement.

Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17-27 et seq.

Bidders shall comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.37 and 34:11-56.38 of the “Prevailing Wage Act”
