  1. “Open Cockpit Weekend” at the Aviation Hall of Fame of NJ

    October 7, 2017, 10:00 AM - October 8, 2017, 4:00 PM @ Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of NJ

    Visitors can explore the cockpits of a TWA Convair 880 jetliner, a rare Lockheed-designed Bush Plane, a Bell 47 helicopter ,our “Little-Cut-Up” aircraft control demonstrator, and the control cab of a real Airport Rescue and Fire-Fighting truck. People, young and old can learn how the flight systems work. Qualified pilots will help guests understand the instruments and controls of these special aircraft. There will be an aviation book sale and the first 25 children on both days will receive a small free gift! Founded in 1972, the Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of NJ is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State's distinguished, two-century aviation and space heritage. The men and women, whose outstanding aeronautical achievements have brought worldwide recognition to the state, are enshrined in the Hall of Fame. The AHOF announces one additional 2017 “Open Cockpit Weekend” on November 11-12. Call for directions and additional information.

  2. PV Trio's 15th Season Anniversary Celebration of Concerts in Bergen County

  3. "the Spice of Life": Bergen Symphony Orchestra presents Brahms, Mozart, Sibelius, and Elgar

    TBSO, one of the pre-eminent classical orchestras in the county, begins its 7th concert season with works from Brahms, Mozart, Sibelius, and Elgar. This exciting concert, called “the Spice of Life,” will feature the acclaimed violinist Yura S.J. Oh. TBSO, conducted by Woomyung Choe, is made up of professional musicians from the greater New York/New Jersey area. Its mission is to provide a high quality classical music experience that will not only enhance the cultural life of the community, but will also educate and encourage the next generation to love the music of the past and present. This 7th annual concert series, performing now thru May 2108, will highlight such composers as Haydn, Salieri, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, Saint Saens, and Rachmaninoff

This exciting concert, called “the Spice of Life,” will take place on Saturday, October 7 at 7:30 at the Fort Lee High School Auditorium, 3000 Lemoine Ave, Fort Lee, NJ and will feature the acclaimed violinist Yura S.J. Oh. TBSO, a 55-piece orchestra, is made up of professional musicians from the greater New York/New Jersey area. Its mission is to provide a high quality classical music experience that will not only enhance the cultural life of the community, but will also educate and encourage the next generation to love the music of the past and present. This 7th annual concert series, performing now thru May 2018, will highlight such composers as Haydn, Salieri, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, Saint Saens, & Rachmaninoff.     Gilberto Santa Rosa, known as “El Caballero de la Salsa” (The Gentleman of Salsa), has been lighting up the stage since the 1980s after launching his singing career in his native Puerto Rico. With 12 consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard Tropical Albums charts and six Grammy Awards, Santa Rosa is regarded as one of the best salsa singers in history. He was the first salsa singer to perform a concert at Carnegie Hall, and his hits include “Conciencia,” “Que Alguien Me Diga,” “Conteo Regresivo” and “Vívír Sin Ella.” Santa Rosa has sold out theaters around the world with his bountiful trove of material.
