Visitors can explore the cockpits of a TWA Convair 880 jetliner, a rare Lockheed-designed Bush Plane, a Bell 47 helicopter ,our “Little-Cut-Up” aircraft control demonstrator, and the control cab of a real Airport Rescue and Fire-Fighting truck. People, young and old can learn how the flight systems work. Qualified pilots will help guests understand the instruments and controls of these special aircraft. There will be an aviation book sale and the first 25 children on both days will receive a small free gift! Founded in 1972, the Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of NJ is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State's distinguished, two-century aviation and space heritage. The men and women, whose outstanding aeronautical achievements have brought worldwide recognition to the state, are enshrined in the Hall of Fame. The AHOF announces one additional 2017 “Open Cockpit Weekend” on November 11-12. Call for directions and additional information.

Come to the Garretson Farm and enjoy a day of indoor and outdoor activities at the historic house, barn, schoolhouse and heirloom gardens. Watch demonstrations of open hearth cooking and spinning. Buy some herbs and other produce from Garretson's heirloom gardens.

The Wortendyke Barn Museum, a National Register landmark, and the family’s stone house across the street, are all that remain of the original Wortendyke family farm. The barn, built in 1760, is an outstanding example of the vernacular architecture referred to as a “New World Dutch Barn” which could be found throughout 18th and 19th century Bergen County. The Barn’s exhibits include handmade 18th and 19th century farm implements and tools, the history of the Wortendyke family farm, and exhibits showing the agricultural history of the area from the first settlers through the 20th century. Come to the free "Music at the Barn" concert series on the last Sundays of July, August and September at 4 pm. And end the season on October 29 with the 7th Annual “Bluegrass & Cider” concert. Bring chairs, blankets, picnics, family and friends to the concerts which are held rain or shine. The Barn is fully accessible and free to the public.

FRENCH CARNIVAL: Loeillet Sonata in B minor; Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals; Faure Fantasie for Flute; Franck Sonata for Violin and Piano in A minor. now in its 37th season, is a leading chamber music ensemble in the New York - New Jersey metropolitan area. It has performed over 797 concerts since its inception in 1981. The ensemble performs music from the baroque to contemporary periods in mixed ensembles using flute, violin, cello, harpsichord and piano. Art Exhibit and Reception 2:00-4:30 PM.
