The Bergen County Executive, James Tedesco III, the Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, and the Arts Educators of New Jersey, invite the public to view the 2017 Bergen County Youth Art Month Exhibit. 12 Bergen County schools are represented. Since 1961, the National Art Education Association has promoted Youth Art Month (YAM) to recognize art education as an important and viable element of the education curriculum for our children. YAM spotlights the value of art education and how it can add to a fuller quality of life and promote creative thinking. One of YAM’s goals is to increase community understanding and interest in art and art education through the involvement of art exhibits such as this. The public is welcomed to attend the awards reception honoring the participating schools. It will be held on Thursday, March 16th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room of the County Administration Building which is located on the 1st floor of

On a warm spring day in 1931, a seventeen-year-old girl pitched against the New York Yankees and struck out Babe Ruth. Or did she? Unbelievable (book by John Robert DeVore, music by Rachel DeVore Fogarty and lyrics by Kevin Fogarty) tells the story of Beatrice “Jackie” Mitchell, who rocked the world of baseball with her drop ball pitch. This exciting new musical explores themes of ambition and loss amid a simple love of the game. The cast includes Edward Watts, Jim Stanek, Catherine Charlebois, Marie Lemon, Jason Michael Evans, David C. Neal, Audra Qualley, Sam Hartley, Paul Ianniello, Eric Jon Mahlum and Sarah Caroline Billings as Jackie Mitchell. Music Direction by Gary Adler and directed by Skyline Artistic Director Sam Scalamoni.
