Health Promotion
Who We Are:
The Office of Health Promotion (OHP) teaches behaviors that promote wellness. The OHP develops and implements strategies to improve the health of individuals in Bergen County
What We Do:
- Promote healthy lifestyles for individuals, families, and communities.
- Develop programs and events to teach people about health topics and manage their conditions
- Help people find health services or information
- Provide training programs for other health professional
- Advocate for improved health resources, policies, procedures and services that promote health
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and educational materials.
The team of Health Educators offers programs on a wide range of health topics for different age groups that can be requested through your towns' Board of Health Office, Recreation Department, School System and/or Public Library.
