Who We Are
To promote and protect the health and well-being of students in Bergen County’s non-public schools through guidance and supervision of the school nurses, thus enhancing their educational success
What We Do
- Ensure quality control and equal access to specific nursing services in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:40-23 et seq.: 6A:16-2.5, Nursing Services to Non-public Schools
- Assure that non-public school nurses are following best practices according to New Jersey School Health Services Guidelines
- Provide non-public school nurses with the most current school nursing practices and regulations
Our Services
- On-site supervision
- On site visits for quality assurance or program assistance (lice screenings, immunization audits)
- School nurse orientation
- Continuing professional development (in-service)
- Monthly resources/reference mailings
- On-call telephone consultation
- Assistance with required protocols or screenings
- Coordination of schedules and services
- Provision of Mantoux tuberculin skin testing according to current regulations
- Assistance with Mantoux testing follow-up
- Guidance on ordering of equipment and supplies
- Assistance with or provision of standing orders
