Program Analyst (Employee Wellness Program Coordinator) - County of Bergen Department of Administration & Finance – Division of Personnel

The County of Bergen provides its employees with access to a comprehensive Wellness Program offering clinical and lifestyle components.  The mission of the program is to offer opportunities for employees to improve their physical and emotional well-being, as well as other aspects of their overall wellness, by offering activities and services that support their efforts to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  This position will be part of the health benefit team reporting to the team’s manager within the Division of Personnel.

Job Responsibilities: (may include but not limited to)

  • Gathers and analyzes data on program operations.
  • Conduct site visits and outreach with wellness partners to encourage participation in wellness programs and offerings
  • Collaborate and partner with vendors to provide well-being programs
  • Oversee the scheduling and validation process for the clinical portion of the wellness program
  • Recruit and manage a network of wellness ambassadors and champions across worksites
  • Identify Employee Resource Groups to develop wellness and support programming for their members
  • Assist wellness partners with developing wellness-focused team building and engagement sessions
  • Manage marketing and communications for the wellness team across all platforms, and creating marketing materials to promote programs, initiatives, and resources
  • Reviews operational programs and activities to evaluate their effectiveness

Schedule:

  • Full time – Monday to Friday (in person required)
  • 40 hours/week

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or related field; Master’s in public health preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a health program and/or promotional role

Other Requirements:

  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, and Excel programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work well in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Effective multi-tasker with strong organizational skills.
