Program Coordinator Drug and Alcohol Abuse – County of Bergen Department of Health Services – Division of Mental Health and Addictions Services
Under the Bergen County Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, plans, develops, implements, administers, and coordinates drug and alcohol abuse prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs; does related work as required.
Job Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
- Monitors and evaluates the drug and/or alcohol services contracted out to public or private agencies or organizations.
- Ensures efficient collection and retrieval of program data necessary for preparation and submittal of reports, applications, and proposals required or requested by applicable funding, supporting, or contracting agencies.
- Prepares and submits grants to obtain federal and state funding for substance use related services.
- Supports Division with planning and representation at community events, and Division communication development.
- Understands and shares information about current evidence-based intervention for prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery support services.
- Works collaboratively with Division, providers, state personnel and community at large.
Schedule:
- Full-time.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word).
- Four (4) years of administrative experience in an addictions-related program. (Master’s degree may be substituted for part of the experience).
- Driver’s license valid in New Jersey
