Substance Abuse Counselor Intern - County of Bergen Department of Health Services - Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services
- Availability on nights, weekends and holidays
- The position would include the following tasks/responsibilities:
- Monitor Urine screens
- Intake searching of client belongings
- Room searches
- Client transportation
- Driver’s license
- Resident monitoring
- General activity oversight
- Assigned tasks pertaining to facility operations
- Didactic group and activity facilitation
- Experience in anger de-escalating clients in distress
- Prior experience working and or prior education in treatment of Substance Use Disorder
- Client medication monitoring
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
- Willingness to attend classes toward CADC
- Per diem employee to work up to 29.5 hours per week.
