Program Analyst - County of Bergen Department of Health Services – Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services
Under direction, gathers information to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of current or projected operating programs; prepares reports; recommends program changes; leads training and community outreach efforts; does other related work.
Job Responsibilities: (may include but not limited to)
- Gathers and analyzes data on program operations.
- Supports Division efforts in promoting countywide programs and services through event support.
- Responds to community inquiries about mental health and substance abuse services.
- Identifies actual or potential problem areas, trends, program accomplishments, or other significant factors.
- Review operational programs and activities to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Recommends changes in program objectives, operations and use of resources.
- Prepare reports.
- Establishes and maintains records and files.
- Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health related field or teaching (preferred).
- Or five (5) years of experience in the review, analysis and evaluation of operating programs in an agency or organization.
