Clinical Psychologist – Division of Family Guidance

The Clinical psychologist is a full time 40-hour per week staff position. The responsibilities of the position include providing forensic clinical assessments and treatment of adolescents. The position interfaces frequently with the Family Court.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct Court-ordered psychological evaluations for youth pre and post adjudicated for a variety of offenses. These assessments are conducted in both an outpatient setting and in the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center.
- Conduct Court-ordered psychosexual assessments of post adjudicated youth involved in sexual offenses.
- Conduct clinical assessments of youth referred by the Court or as part of the law enforcement diversion process.
- Appear in Court upon request to provide mental health perspective on assessed youth.
- Conduct psycho-educational and or clinical individual and group sessions.
- Attend case management meetings and staff meetings.
- Carry a caseload of individual patients and provide group therapy.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, weekdays, will include evening hours.
Education Requirements:
- Doctoral Degree in psychology.
Other Requirements:
- Experience working with adolescents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under time deadlines.
- Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word).
- Clinical license preferred but not mandatory, supervision towards licensure available.
- Forensic experience preferred
