Analyst Grant Applications – County of Bergen Department of Humans Services – Division of Alternatives to Domestic Violence

Under direction, the Analyst Grant Application Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and program-related aspects that support the overall division. This position encompasses fiscal responsibilities, grant coordination, and program management; does related duties as required.

Job Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):              

  • Reviews, identifies, researches and applies for grants that align with the organization’s mission.
  • Write grant proposal, applications, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain and submit timely grant reports to funding agencies.
  • Prepare and submit timely grant reports to funding agencies.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with the Division Director.
  • Monitor expenditures, income, and fiscal performance.
  • Process payments to vendors, consultants, and contractors.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of expenses related to the emergency hotel program and Abuse Intervention Program (AIP).
  • Maintains positive relationships with grant project officers and grant funders.
  • Ensures compliance with all financial regulations and grant requirements.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by our grantors.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Work with supervisors and staff at all levels of the Division to ensure programs are meeting goals and objectives of grants and contracts.
  • Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, in business administration, finance, or related field.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong background in financial management and grant administration.
  • Proven experience in grant coordination and financial management within a nonprofit organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
