PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
TAKE NOTICE that the County of Bergen is proposing to change the purpose or use of Saddle Ridge Riding Center located at 900 Shadow Ridge Road in Franklin Lakes, NJ. The change in use involves the construction of a second indoor equestrian riding arena approximately 216’ x 98’. The existing, single, indoor arena does not provide adequate riding space for the sixty horses living at Saddle Ridge. The additional arena will allow the facility to be able to dedicate one indoor arena to lessons and the second will provide a space for riders and horses to exercise on inclement days. The additional indoor riding arena will also allow the facility to resume their therapeutic riding program, which had to be discontinued in the winter due to lack of riding space.
Saddle Ridge Riding Center is an existing Bergen County owned horseback riding facility, encompassing over 28 acres, located in Franklin Lakes, NJ Lot 1 Block 1602.
Pursuant of N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.6(a)1, a hearing to obtain public comment on the proposed change of purpose or use will be held at:
Franklin Lakes Borough Hall
