Bergen County Provides Funding for New Nature Trails in Ridgefield Park

(Ridgefield Park) – Yesterday, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and Bergen County Freeholder Tracy Zur presented a ceremonial check to Ridgefield Park Mayor George Fosdick to support the creation of trails and a floating boardwalk within the Ridgefield Park Nature Preserve. Bergen County will provide $200,000 in open space funding for the project, half of the total expected project costs. When completed, the trails will provide better access to the Ridgefield Park Nature Preserve. Ridgefield Park science students are expected to utilize the area as an outdoor classroom, while all residents and visitors will enjoy the passive recreation it will provide.  Included below are photos of the check presentation.
