Updated: Tedesco: Bergen County New Bridge Medical Center Only Open for “Screening” of Bergen County First Responders and Health Care Professionals

Hackensack, N.J. – Yesterday,  Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announced that today, Saturday, March 28th, at 8 a.m., the County will begin the screening process for symptomatic first responders and health care professionals for mobile, drive-thru COVID-19 testing at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center at 230 East Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus, N.J.

The drive-thru site has not opened yet – that announcement will be made within the next 24 hours. Only screening will take place at the Paramus hospital beginning today at 8 a.m. (the drive-thru portion will not open until the screening process has been completed).

Only first responders and health care professionals who live or work in Bergen County will be tested at this drive-thru test site when it opens, and those patients must provide accredited identification.

Drive-thru testing will be scheduled for patients only after they complete a brief survey and an appointment with a Telehealth doctor. First Responders and health care professionals will then receive a confirmation code number that they will present at the drive-thru testing site.
