Weather Information Bulletin

April 13-14, 2022

Bergen County OEM has been in contact with the National Weather Service and our meteorological service regarding the upcoming weather forecast and its flooding impact potential.

Current weather forecast indicates a line of thunderstorms beginning tonight (April 13, 2022) between 1900hrs and 0400hrs and another line of rain and potential thunderstorms tomorrow (April 14, 2022) between 1400hrs and 1900hrs tomorrow. Rain fall expected to be generally a quarter of an inch.  The NWS does not expect these next rounds of rain fall to cause flooding and categorizes this as a low chance of flood potential.

HACKENSACK RIVER WATERSHED AREA:
Bergen County officials have been in contact with Veolia/ Suez Water company representatives and they have indicated the current water flow conditions can accommodate an inch of rain fall.

Please monitor local weather conditions and be alert for changes to this forecast as these systems develop and approach the area.
