OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM BERGEN COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER HANSEL ASMAR

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Bergen County Health Officer Hansel Asmar releases the following statement on regarding current air quality conditions in Bergen County:

“Residents of Bergen County, I am pleased to inform you that the air quality in our region has improved following the recent wildfires in Canada. However, we urge you to remain vigilant and monitor the Air Quality Index (AQI) specific to your municipality by visiting AirNow.gov. Different areas may have varying levels of air pollution, and it is essential to stay informed. We recommend consulting with your local health officer for specific guidance tailored to your locality. Your health and well-being are of utmost importance, and we appreciate your continued cooperation and diligence in keeping yourself and your community safe."
