Bergen County Celebrates Lunar New Year

(Hackensack) – This evening, Bergen County hosted its third annual Lunar New Year celebration. Zhao Yumin, Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, offered keynote remarks. The event featured cultural performances by the Hope Sing and Dance Art Troupe, Holy Name Asian Health Services, and the HuaXia Chinese School at Bergen Cultural Group. Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders recognized a number of individuals for their contributions to their communities and Bergen County. The event was originally scheduled to be held during the traditional holiday festival, but had to be postponed due to weather.
