PUBLIC WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED FOR BERGEN COUNTY LOCAL SAFETY ACTION PLAN

 

HACKENSACK – Bergen County residents are invited to review the Draft Local Safety Action Plan. The plan identifies potential strategies and actions to improve transportation safety for all road users.

Bergen County is entering the final phase of developing its Local Safety Action Plan (LSAP). The LSAP is a comprehensive, community-informed strategy to improve roadway safety and reduce traffic-related deaths and serious injuries. As part of this effort, the county will host a public workshop to share key pieces of the draft plan and hear from residents.

This public workshop is open to all community members and represents an opportunity to learn more about the plan and give feedback on the plan’s recommendations and priorities.

The LSAP is being developed in partnership with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and supports national goals such as Vision Zero and Safe Streets and Roads for All.

The NJTPA is the federally authorized metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the 13-county northern New Jersey region.
