Programs are held in the Education & Discovery Center
Group programs are intended for schools, scouts, etc.

Program Information

• Programs are offered year-round.
• Max of 25 students and 3 adults per program.
• Programs are 40 minutes.
• All programs include live animal guests.
• Admission and Park Permit are included.
• We will do our best to reschedule or accommodate if there is inclement weather.

• Education programs must be booked at least 3 - 6 weeks in advance.
• April, May, and June are the busiest times of our year so please contact us early!

PRE-K - KINDERGARTEN

Wild & Crafty
Consists of a story, an animal visitor, and a craft.

Animal Coverings
Learn about different animals that are covered in fur, feathers, scales, and skin.

GRADES 1 - 5

Animal Classifications
Learn how to distinguish animals based on their classifications.

Endangered Species
Learn about what endangered species are and how you can help them.

Beautiful Bugs
Learn about the difference between insects and arachnids.

GRADES 6 - 12

Zoo Careers
Learn about all the different types of jobs you can have in a zoo.

A permit is required for groups of 10 or more to use picnic areas in Van Saun County Park. Groups of less than 10 may use unoccupied picnic areas on a first come, first serve basis. Picnic permits can be acquired at www.co.bergen.nj.us/permits.
