Bird Flu (H5N1)

BirdfluH5N1, or Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, is a viral disease caused by Influenza A viruses. Wild birds, especially waterfowl, often carry and spread the virus without showing symptoms. Domestic poultry, such as chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese, are highly susceptible and may experience severe illness or death.

While human infections are rare, people with close or prolonged contact with infected animals or contaminated environments may be at higher risk.
