To promote and protect the health and well-being of students in Bergen County’s schools through guidance and supervision of the school nurses, thus enhancing their educational success

What We Do

• Ensure quality control and equal access to specific nursing services in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:40-23 et seq.: 6A:16-2.5, Nursing Services to Schools
• Assure that school nurses are following best practices according to New Jersey School Health Services Guidelines
• Provide school nurses with the most current school nursing practices and regulations

Our Services

• On-site supervision
• On site visits for quality assurance or program assistance (lice screenings, immunization audits)
• Orientation for contracting new non-public school nurse
• 24 Hour On-call telephone consultation
• Assistance with required protocols or screenings
• Guidance on ordering of equipment and supplies
• Assistance with or provision of standing orders to contracting non-public schools
